Fits with what I read some years back that you shouldn't expect children to do a good job separating fantasy from reality much before the age of 10.

I don't think he's advocating for it per se, his statement sounds rhetorical / ironic to me.

But then sometimes Richard says things that I either don't agree with or think he should have filters about. Like his remark about his childhood experience of "mild" sexual abuse, and that it wasn't a Big Deal.
