When I was four years old I discovered the Chritmas presents hidden in a hall closet, the night before Christmas. I just closed the door of the closet and didn't say a thing. Father was not home yet and the women in family, were busy in the kitchen making pies, getting the food ready for Christmas dinner the next day. My discovery was unobserved, at that time I just had one sibling who was a sleep in his crib. Later that night, we put oats out for the raindeer and a snack for Santa in front of the fire place. Then we went to bed, under the tree the next morning were the presents I saw in the closet the previous evening. Still I said nothing, there was talk of Santa and what he done by all members of family, father, mother, grand parents, aunts, uncles first cousins. Qiute animated actually for the benefit of myself and my cousins. A great show was put on and I nearly laughed myself sick, everyone was in on it, people I trusted. After that expierence I never believed anybody no matter what they told me, if I could not verify what ever it was, by myself. Became a non believer almost the moment I was aware of my surroundings

I discovered he didn't exist when I questioned the existence of the Easter Bunny. Mom decided to tell me that the Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Santa didn't exist all at once. Raising my daughter, I never pretended any of them existed and she is grateful.

What a great Awaking! Finding the Truth through the lies when a child is often very difficult.

I caught my mom reading Santa's paper and eating his cookies when I was 3. I knew from them but also understood the intrinsic role he played in the holiday. He was an out so parents and family could indulge the youth.

I never believed in Father Christmas, however the spirit is real.
