I agree with this 100%.
"It's probably too late for many of you but the biggest gift you can give yourself this holiday season is to stop buying other adults gifts based on a calendar. The best gift you can give is just to reach out and reconnect in the real world with someone you've lost touch with."

It's the car and jewelry commercials that drive us nuts, this time of year. As if the consumer's unworthy if they don't rush out and buy their loved one a Lexus or something with diamonds. ffs

From a young age we are programmed to purchase crap. Must look like everyone else, we feel important having the newest item. Spending money on ppl equals love. Bad ppl get coal. But if you love someone, it has to be shown in a form of a gift. Buying the most expensive thing possible is the goal. So mental

I haven't bought one gift. Was thinking of buying something for myself but could not think of anything I wanted or needed.

I was low on money, but I still treated myself to a meal. Why not, I'm hungry, I work hard, and everyone else is splurging. Odd how I felt guilty buying something necessary while my fb family and customers discuss buying crap for ppl they never asked for. Shouldn't they buy them something they can actually use, or need? I honestly don't understand this gift giving day ?

@kraseyk It’s like it is some kind of competition giving gifts and if you don’t give me a gift you mustn’t like me.
