Part of what im wanting to do in the new year, is to start stretching, my body is getting tighter and movement becoming limited, just slightly and partially because im over weight. Bit worried about just stretching too much too fast and getting injured, any advice?
I highly recommend trying tai chi. It's shown to be effective in improving such issues without aggressive techniques that can do more harm than good.
Used to do tai chi 25 years ago but it was wing tsun for combat more than anything else, I'd have to take a deeper look at it
I'm hip! I have an appointment in the middle of January to go see a doctor to give me similar advice among other things. I need to stretch but I don't want to cause another injury from over-doing something.
Getting old ain't for sissies!
