Does anyone like to watch rocket launches? (More like, who doesn't?!). I can see Vandenberg AFB rockets from my house, but I need to get closer... much closer! Good VAFB viewing sites are about 2 hrs away. I plan to drive up very early Sunday for the SpaceX Falcon 9. Unfortunately VAFB launches frequently get scrubbed (delayed) due to weather and other factors. I figure at worst it's a lovely drive up the coast.

Lucky! Not many rocket launches out here in the midwest. I've visited KSC several times but never when anything was launching. I do follow SpaceX launches closely and love watching their webcasts.

I love watching rocket launches, usually on Utube. Watching the most recent giant rocket launch , I loved hearing the 'crackling' sound when they really start rising upwards.

Have only seen the trails across the sky from Southern California. Good luck on your viewing.
