Well 2019 looks to be starting with a bang. My youngest is in resus after falling into DKA. I had to cancel my shift so now I am worried sick about my baby, totally skint and tired out. I have to say though, I am eternally grateful for the NHS and proud of the nurses who I previously taught. Jacob is happy for me to post his pic

Hang in the Jacob. You can manage it. I had T1D for over 50 years npw. Learn to read your body's signals. Tell your mom not to worry .

I told him what you said. He laughed...he knows that is impossible. He is doing much better, back to being himself

He's on the mend.

And I thought I had it rough. Caught chest infection on 27th driving to france and back to get my son for visit. So our time together is with me looking after him while feeling shit. But I wouldn't trade it for him being ill instead, so that makes you the only person I feel sympathy toward. Hope your son makes a full recovery

Thank you, hope all is well.

@Amisja The silver lining to my cloud, I've informed her I'm to ill to travel and she has to collect. About time she travelled some miles. I've done almost 14000 miles in one year to see him. Her turn.

@Savage look after you

Sorry, if this sounded self serving but in lieu of actual friends and feeling completely overwhelmed by having to meet my ex's new wife (who I wanted to hate but who is actually lovely). Well you guys had to step in...sorry again.
