Amazon just gave me ANOTHER 30-day free trial of Prime. I've got a month. What should I watch? I'm thinking The Man in the High Castle, Comrade Detective, The Night Manager, and Sneaky Pete.

"Man in the High Tower". Alternative history with a sci-fi twist. The sci-fi aspect is actually mostly metaphorical, but does crop up in the third season. Very high production value.

If you have any appreciation for music: "Mozart in the Jungle" about love and life involving a symphony orchestra in NYC.

"Sneaky Pete". Con men and women galore.

The Americans and most save for last season of American Horror story are included right now.

I loved The Americans.

Really liked Deutschland 83 too(same era, just foreign), still waiting for the next season of that to be available. Worth the subtitles & expense.

@Qualia That's what I loved about Mad Men.

@DeStijl i need to watch that one. Isn't it chock full 'o mid century modern stuff?
If I'm remembering right I'd be dying all over that one.

@Qualia You've never seen it??? Ohhhhhh, you must watch it! The detail is AMAZING! The clothes, the interiors...the art direction is fabulous! The storylines and character development remained excellent through all seven seasons but I found myself losing enthusiasm as they entered the 70s and the clothes all got ugly. One particular detail I really liked---the protagonist's daughter ages in real time over the course of the entire series.

Also didn't see LOST until it was over either. Just too much stuff going on & not dvr people.

Funny was looking to see if there are any more Kangaroo decorative ring & watch holders "out there" from the 50s? 60s? and "Mad Men" came up.

Second Justified, just binge it you'll get to the end lol.

I liked Man in The High Castle ... at first. It stops being about alt-history and becomes like this weird soap opera with ALL the romances.

Hmmmm that seems unfortunate.
