What's that old saying? 'No one can sincerely attend seminary school and come out believing in god.'
When a person learns the contradictions and questionable origins of all the nonsense being peddled, they get stuck with one of two choices -- give up that sincerity or start closing their eyes a lot (which of course is the same thing). Lol, again.
