Your benefit is how you look and feel now and as you get older...it is a lot harder to get in and stay in shape if you start later...it can be done, but you are ahead of the game!!!
Keep up your hard work...it is for you...not just your body, but your mind...discipline and consistency are good traits...keep it up!!!!
Neil Armstrong the 1st man to set foot on the moon did not believe in increasing his heart rate unnecessarily. He believed that the number of heart beats has a natural limit.
He died not long ago in his mid 80s.
There are some cultures (primarily mid-East, I believe) that hold a person's number of breaths is predetermined, and one may prolong one's life--somewhat--by avoiding the heavy breathing that comes from over exertion.
Im out of practice, but when i went to gym every day, i used numbers to justify my time & money.
My starting heart rate lowered significantly. The recovery rate when i was finished lessened. Milage on the machines and total minutes of tolerance increased. I lifted weights with increasing heft and resistance. And yes, i have sweaty locker room mirror pictures questioning too.
Get strong! Stay strong!!
I'm 3 days back in the gym. I have promised myself to prioritize my health again.
I work out every day and wonder the same. sigh
Btw... Trivium is an awesome band! 'The Heart From Your Hate' is a bad ass workout song!!! ?
I'm in the best strength and shape of my life I have ever been but sometimes all of this means nothing. Also there are very less rock concerts here in DMV. I might move to Texas in a year or so.
@BrokenMarrow I might not be here when you get here. But Texas is my home, "Mi Casa Es Su Casa." My home is your home. You are welcomed here with open arms, My Friend.
