Am I the only one who thinks this movie basically explains what's happening to the world right now? Prescient.

Forbidden Planet is basically a retelling of the Tempest by Shakespeare, with Morbius filling in for Prospero and Robbie as Ariel while Caliban is reborn as the monster from the Id.

The idea of Technology/Magic setting everyone free to destroy themselves by removing all limits on want and desire could be read as a prophesy for the internet and the digital age is true enough.
When everyone thinks they are a god, minor disputes can wipe out the word as major disputes are ignored as other peoples problems.

Movies that are non-documentaries are not a great source of information. Its due to the lack of information and the overt propagandizing from governments and religions. Hollywood movies intent is to spread dogma and steer thinking. Their intent is not to inform.

Articles, lectures, documentaries and books usually contain more information.

Try thinking a little bit more analytically. You don't want to fall for Vaxxed just cause it's technically a documentary.

@KJThomas

I have not watched that one. I mostly watch lectures from experts, head to head debates and conferences.

Documentaries are a great source of information so long as there is information. It's up to the person consuming the information to scrutinize information from as many sources as possible.
