Venison stew, roasted squash, brioche, and wine for dinner on a cold winter night. ❤️

I made popovers in my new Breville...love the convection feature!

What stove do you have? I want to make poppers. Our stove needs to be replaced.

@ADKSparky I got the countertop model, not the largest, the second-largest Breville.
It holds all my regular pans plus a 13" pizza. Cooks my 12-cup muffin pan of popovers in about 20 minutes, tops!
The convection feature gives you a whole new bunch of foods and Speedy.
I now keep pans in the big oven, take them out only for Xmas turkey! (Only pans of metal or glass!!!)

I always used to think baking brioche was hard work

It’s easy but it takes a lot of mixing time. You need a heavy duty mixer. The dough conditions in the fridge for 6-12 hrs. Then getting itready is fast. A scale helps.

@ADKSparky I think I may just go to the shop and buy some instead of having to wait so long.

@Jolanta The closest shop would be a 30 minute drive. ?

@ADKSparky My local shops are just down the road and they have a bakery. I know I should not visit it as my bottom seems to grow inches every time I do.

@Jolanta I try and give away my baked goods so my waist doesn't grow any larger. and I can't have any cookies in the house either.

@ADKSparky Oh, I so with I lived next door to you, actually no I don't. I have a very sweet tooth and it is hard for me to resist.

That's it! I'm on my way to New York! Hehehe...

I have a spare bedroom. ?

@ADKSparky No! I want the master bedroom! ? You sleep in the spare!?

@SleeplessInTexas That’s not gonna happen. ?

@ADKSparky Okay, fine! As long as I go to bed on a full tummy. Hehe... ?

@SleeplessInTexas I’m a pretty good cook but I’m best at pastries. You’ll never go hungry here. You’ll need the fat to stay warm. It’s 2 degrees outside. ?

Looks delicious! have several good brioche recipes but hesitate baking them because the effects on my blood sugar are strong and long lasting.

It’s mostly butter and not much sugar. But the white flour could be a problem for your diabetes. It’s fun to make on a frigid and snowy day.
