I think it will recover quite fast. Life goes on as it must, trade deals will be made as they must, people's memories will be short.

Oh and I really really fear what a mess we are leaving for the Irish and Northern Irish brothers and sisters. Its scary.

Exactly! Living here in Ireland I feel embarrassed to be British given the nonsense going on in Westminster ?

I fear for our future and regret what we are leaving for our young people. We are better standing as part of the EU.

As the song says, there will always be an England, but Ireland will need to pick up the bill for the merger with the North that is coming after brexit with no deal.

Surely no deal will not get voted by the House?? An ultimate clusterfuck ?

@Yorkshirepete "no deal" is the default currently required by UK law, and also preferred to "no brexit" by PM Theresa May. It remains to be seen what will happen.

@doug6352 unless we have a people’s vote...

Europe including Britain like the US are dying failed civilizations, the leadership of the world will soon pass to Russia, China and the Southern Hemisphere, it little matters if Britain sinks alone or goes down with the rest of Europe.

A very depressing thought, given as a man in his 50’s having had a blessed upbringing, decent parents, a good education and a good career. I feel for the young growing up in a world that has changed so much since 9/11. That seemed to be the catalyst that started this whole shitstorm we are experiencing now...
