I’m thinking about getting the great courses plus because I heard Seth Andrews from the think atheist podcast talk about it. Has anyone had any experience with the great courses plus, good or bad?
Among other things (not having to do with agnosticism), I purchased a lecture series by Bart D. Ehrman a while back which is quite fascinating. If you’re not familiar with his works, I suggest looking up his debates with Christian theologians on YouTube. His logic-based approach to refuting Christian orthodoxy is riveting. You might also get a lot of mileage out of Rabbi Tovia Singer’s “Let’s Get Biblical” lecture series which quite handily refutes almost every aspect of Christian apología imaginable.
Generally, according to my own experience, the quality of instruction offered by the Great Courses lectures is very satisfying.
What are they?
It is a series of video courses where experts give you an in-depth look into all kinds of things, like video production, animation, learning instruments. At least that's how it is advertised. I have no personal experience with it and can't say if or how much better than the free information out there it is. Maybe you can find youtube videos just as good or better, maybe it is totally worth it.
