The Hubble has changed the way we view the (not our) universe. I saw a Nova program with Alan Alda. He stated that wen you look at the night sky most of the points of light we see are not stars; they are galaxies. My late partner said that took the romance out of the night sky. I replied but it replaced it with awe.
