Thanksgiving is going to be awkward.

News article about a person overdosed and ends up in the hospital in a coma. They get his name and birthdate from his ID and as probably the case with drug addicts he has a medical history at that hospital including emergency contact person. They bring in the emergency contact and explain the situation, namely that her brother has irreversible brain damage will never regain consciousness. Woman decides to pull the plug, on who she thought was her brother. Autopsy comes back as that is not her brother, turns out her brother has been in jail and very much alive. My favorite part of the story is the brother is mad that the sister tried to kill him, hence a very awkward thanksgiving.
