Seems good. A friend of mine just left her husband. Very complicated.... I'm trying to be supportive.

None of my friends or family knew I got a divorce until about 8 years AFTER my divorce.

I'm usually a very private person when it comes to personal matters like that. Needless to say, everyone was shocked when they eventually found out.

His parents were upset about what he did to me and disowned him for a few years. They became my greatest supporters. Very nice folks.

Whuuuuuut. How did they not know? Did you never see them? I'd love to know how you managed that.

I'm surprised at what people do under pressure. There are two or three moments in a lifetime that define us as people; where we are tested. Your ex must have done something pretty terrible for his own parents to disown him.

@Kohelath We would visit them separately. Until they finally put their foot down to ask why we were never together when we'd visit them. Since they had never asked if anything was wrong, I never told.
