Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.My dad and I loved science fair! Since we lived in foreign countries, our projects were based on something about the country...and we were limited to supplies we could find locally or at the base PX...
That's too bad that kids and parents feel it is an upsetting project...It was a bonding experience and fun for me, and we even included my mom and siblings for some parts...
The poster is sort of funny/sad.....

Ahhh. I taught at the school where my kids went, on scholarship. The school paid for science projects for all kids. However, one year, two, well to do, upper school parents decided to pay their kids costs. The junior science teacher dropped the bill for my son on my desk and, literally, ran from the room and hid. My buddy, Ralph, the department head, saw me enter the science lab fuming (the bill was over 400 dollars) and took the bill and told me not to worry and he would "have words with the idget"
