We finally got our first winter snow in the Portland (OR)/Vancouver (WA) are. It was only about an inch or just enough to cover the ground. Currently it is 30 degrees F.

I live in a SW Portland suburb, at about 200' elevation, and right now it is 32/0 degrees. I had 1.5-2" of snow overnight, but a lot of it has melted. I had a veterinary appointment today that I did not want to miss, tomorrow I get to pick up my new car (for which I have waited many weeks), and Saturday I have a baby shower to attend 3 hours away in Washington, so even as much as I love snow, I don't want MORE snow! Maybe after the baby shower, and after I get my car, and after another trip to the grocery store... THEN let it snow!!!

According to the weather app on my phone, we get our second snow on Saturday. Just mentioning it so you are awre before your trip and can plan accordingly.

@snytiger6 - I am bummed! I just took delivery of my brand new car, and enjoyed the first day of driving it, but I don't want to be out on snowy streets (even if it is a German car, and all-wheel drive). Saturday I am supposed to go to that baby shower, and I hate to admit that I'm hoping they post-pone for a few weeks...

I understand they got a lot in the Seattle metro area yesterday... 6 to 9 inches in some places & it's going to be in the 20 to 30°F range all week! ??❄⛄

Haven't heard from my cousins who live in Belvue. (a Seattle suburb). Btu e tend to only visit with and talk to ehd other during warm weather months.
