Prior to World War One, it was thought that the machine gun was such an awful and powerful weapon that they would prevent war from happening, because no one in their right mind would want to go up against them. As that has long since proven to be wrong, do not doubt for a second that those who say that nuclear weapons will prevent war, or that no one would use them so the next war would only use conventional weapons are dead wrong. History has proven that this is the kind of thing that only fools believe.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I see an EMP being used first which is why I’ll always have a vehicle made in no later than the 70’s and a wood burning fireplace or stove because the madness that will come from within our society will have a greater effect long term than any nuclear weapon.

The same thing was thought about submarines. In fact there was a move to declare them weapons of terrorism. Now look at them!

@Elganned I think every weapon we use today was once a weapon thought of as cowardly. Those who do so often end up on the losing side (like the British who thought their Calvary could go against the Germans).
