I am glad there is so many people running for the Democratic nomination. For me it is much too early to back any of them. Some will do better than expected, some will make mistakes which will end their pursuit. Got to let it play out. I backed people early in the past only to have them screw up. Remember Gary Hart or John Edwards. Seemed like shoe ins, but they screwed up. Obama, seemed to come out of nowhere. So I am sitting back and watching the field closely. Likely by March 2020, I will pick out of who is remaining who I will support.

Most big donors will wait till the herd thins out before donating very much if any at all. Carter, Clinton, and Obama all came out of nowhere. Those other established, more well known Democrat nominees all lost. You are taking the right approach, l believe.

I have mixed feelings. While I am happy there are so many motivated to come forward, on the other hand it slightly reminds me of the Republican shit show of the last election cycle, with their line up of what was it 17 idiots? I mean candidates. I think there are already a few Dems that should sit this one out.
