Every year at this time,I had to buy 2 cards,my late wife's Birthday was Feb 12, and Valentines is the 14th,so chocolates and cards on two special days,but she passed away Sept 13th 2017. 27 years,sure went quick,I have my memories,mostly good ones,some bittersweet....

Gotta shoot for her favorite flowers, meal, chocolates (or prob go for the berries too) at minimum unless heavily hinted or directly instructed not to. Whether we went out or stayed in would depend on the lady; I’m a hell of a cook but I also like to eat out. and either way stock up on her favorite beverage/vice and massage oil. I think the ideal goal of the single best present I could try to give her is: treating her so well the rest of the year that she can hardly tell a difference on holidays. If you let me be a sap, I’m a year long, full time maple tree. I’m not into seasonal, part time flapjackin. If lovin you is wrong, it's not Mrs Buttersworth it to be right. I will not waffle on this issue. Ok so maybe a ceasefire on the dad jokes is a good present too.
