Trump said in one speech taht the wall coudl be defeated with a rope. In another speech he said it could be defeated with a ladder. When Trump visited a part of the border with a wall he was shown tunnels that went under it. Ad to that that about two thirds of illegals in the U.S. arrived here legally andjust over stayed their visas, and the wall becomes pretty ineffective and mostly just a waste of money.

I disagree with President Trump's rational over the building of the border wall considering most illegal aliens are here with expired Visas. He has exceeded his presidential powers grandstanding the Congress with his "Executive Rights" over his powers granted to him by the previous Congress!
