"Le peuple ne demande que le nécessaire, il ne veut que justice et tranquillité; les riches prétendent à tout, ils veulent tout envahir et tout dominer.
Les abus sont l'ouvrage et le domaine des riches, ils sont les fléaus du peuple: l'intérê du peuple est l'intérêt général, celui des riches l'intérêt particular."
Maximilien Robespierre
The people only demand what is necessary, they only want justice and tranquility; the rich claim everything, they want to invade everything and dominate everything.
Abuses are the work and the domain of the rich, they are the scourges of the people: the interest of the people is the general interest, that of the rich the particular interest.
"they want to invade everything and dominate everything."
Hit the nail on the head there . . .
OK. there are good rich people. Bill Gates might be an example. They give from their excess out of charity. I think they should be required to give from their profits as as a matter of social responsibility. When I say responsibility, I mean the responsibility to give to his employees the recompense they deserve. Then he could think of the public who financed his outrageous wealth. Not out of goodwill. Out of responsibility.
"The rich... want to invade,, dominate..." what a load of crap. To paint all wealthy people like this is just stupid.
Who controls the corporations and the government, who controls the military industrial complex, who controls the media? It is not the average citizens, and money controls all of the aforementioned, and we know who has the money.
