And by "yours" I mean a womans. No matter what your personal opinion of abortion is, why is it so hard to understand that forcing your beliefs on someone and denying them their choice is wrong?

Thoughts?

Well, if you are of the religious persuasion... There are obvious issues. On this site... I'd think everyone would be pro-choice.

There is a HUGE difference between pro-choice and pro-abortion. Personally, I identify with pro-choice. However... I feel it is wrong to use abortion as a method of birth control... And I am against late term abortion.

Awesome man. I'm glad you pointed out that difference. I couldn't agree with you more.

FYI late term abortion is not a party. It is used mostly in cases of saving the mother's life or there is something horrifically wrong with the baby. To remove LTA is an unspeakable cruelty since by that time most women WANTED that baby and will likely be contending with a service after the fact.
Think about it, wanting a baby and getting that far only to have your heart broken AND feel punished for saving your own life! Or carrying a brain dead child.

Only a sick animal would deny a procedure in this day and age. And what of it, say the funds weren't there (abortion should be free) until late, there is NO LAW forcing a woman to give a child up for adoption barring drug abuse ... you going to force a kid to live with someone who didn't want them?
It's more likely in that scenario than you think.

I think the best solution to the abortion question is the shove the babies back from whence they came & let the chips fall where they may.... this issue would be dead in the water already & there'd be offices on every corner like 7-11s if this situation DIRECTLY & PHYSICALLY affected MEN.

@Qualia Perhaps I should have finished up my statement a little better. I am against late term abortions unless someone's life is at stake or there is some proof that the child is afflicted with something that would make raising it costly or where the quality of life would be poor.

I see this as a conservative religious issue. I doubt there would be much change if men were the ones carrying the fetus.

Cadavers have more legal right to what happens to their bodies than women in this country.
Until the day comes that we're not fighting for the right to terminate a pregnancy this is what it is.
Seriously, why do we need more people in this world?
Existence without the promise of being able to thrive is a sad state of affairs. It's not enough to simply be born.

You're correct on that.

The thought of being forced to go through a pregnancy I don't want makes me want to chew off my arm. I'm not a vessel, I'm not livestock. Keep your beliefs off my body. Don't like abortions? Educate people about safe sex and pass out contraceptives like candy.

Absolutely

Its between a woman & her medical people, not anyone else's business, pro or con.

I absolutely agree

@Veteran229 ok, so let's talk about viagra. Or cancer treatments due to smoking all your life. Or that ER visit because you weren't wearing your seat belt. Your argument doesn't hold water. Why are women being singled out?

@Veteran229 where are abortions funded by tax dollars? Planned parenthood cannot use public funds for them. Also...
The majority of hospitals are non-profits and are exempt from federal, state and local taxes if they provide a community benefit, such as charitable care. Hospitals also receive federal funding to offset some of the costs of treating the poor.

@Veteran229 did... did you read the article you just posted? Here's a direct quote

Title X does not allow federal funds to be used for abortions. Medicaid, however, does allow government money to be spent on them — in very restricted cases.
