Anyone else fucking hate Sundays? It’s like the whole goddamn state shuts down on this day and for what? Fucking religion. This state I’m referring to is Alabama.

I can say the same thing about MA. But take it to another level when it keeps happening over and over. How bout those 9 to 5er's that are actually 9:35 to 4:30er's, and they are 10 to 3:30er's on Fridays. No deliveries on Sundays !!

It'd be interesting to live in a place where it is half xtian, half Jewish. You'd be screwed on Sat and Sun. lol Either that or the opposite. The Jews work on Sunday for more business, the xtians work on Saturday to compete with the Jews. lol

North Dakota is likely not better. Most stores are (by blue law) not allowed to open until afternoon.

I sometimes (most Sundays) feel the same way about the UK. At least my job on a Sunday is to sell alcohol but the satisfaction is only in my head. I just wish I came into contact (on a Sunday) with more religious fanatics, I could have a bit of fun then! Like you say - Fucking religion!

If I wanted to buy some locally distilled Kentucky bourbon today, I'd have to drive to Tennessee (and pay that 9 percent sales tax). So yeah, I hear ya.

There are still towns around here that do not allow alcohol sales at all, as I'm sure there are in Alabama. Community churches still hold sway, and tell their members about the evils of alkihaul. Strange that whenever it comes up on the ballot it always passes by a wide margin.

This entire county, and every surrounding county, banned alcohol sales since prohibition. About eight years ago one little county adjacent to us voted for sales. The rest fell like dominoes within a year. Even Sunday sales. I never thought I'd live to see it.

@freeofgod Now the binge drinking begins, because of newly found abundance. Was drinking already prevalent, despite the ban? It is going to be interesting to watch.

@ChattyDog Nonsense. When alcohol wasn't available people made alcohol, or drove to get alcohol. There is no newfound abundance. It's just more convenient.

That's something a lot of people have trouble with, making it illegal doesn't make it go away.

@snifflz . middle of nowplace ky.

@snifflz, @Xuande , people here drove sixty miles round trip to get alcohol. Then you had more drunks driving.

@snifflz, @Xuande, @ChattyDog , you just had more drunks on the roads. People gonna drink. Even if they have to drive 60 miles to do it.

Me to. The old song "Rainy Days And Sundays Always get Me Down 😉 I know it's Mondays in the song but I hate Sundays.
