A vote on gay clergy and same-sex marriage may split the United Methodist Church

The Episcopal/Anglican church underwent a similar crisis in 2003, when the church in England elected an openly-gay bishop.

Seems the 21st century is causing cracks in the foundations of Christianity...

Christianity and homosexuality don't mix.

Centuries of frolicing Monks Nuns and gay clergy might beg to disagree.

@LenHazell53 Yes but the context here is theological.

@brentan which is simply indicative of the wilful ignorance and hateful disposition inherent in being a successful theologian

@LenHazell53 Yes, theologians twist sciptures. I'm simply saying that Christianity and homosexuality don't mix in the scriptural context.

Cracks can lead to a breach in the dam of closed mindedness. Let it happen and let the most adaptable win. Maybe we'll have a religious civil war.
