McCabe: Trump said 'I don't care, I believe Putin' when confronted with US intel on North Korea

[thehill.com]

I think that in the giant cluster that has been the last two years of this administration, we've sort of lost sight of how just how earth-shatteringly insane this entire thing is.

The President actually refuses to believe his own national intelligence apparatus (easily the most comprehensive, expensive, and massive information gathering juggernaut in history) and instead chooses to believe the word of the leader of the very same rival nation found to be responsible for the cyber-attacks on the country.

Unbelievable doesn't even begin to describe it. It's truly without precedent and just...insane.

Can you imagine if FDR had gone before Congress and said "December 7th 1941 is a day that will live in infamy, but not because the Japanese attacked us. I just got off the phone with Hirohito and he told me they weren't even near Hawaii, so don't worry, it's not them."
