Actually, they’ll see our ‘movies’ long before encountering us … thus will likely pass us by..

I have been thinking about this for some time and cannot figure out a reason they would come here. Everything that exists on Earth also exist somewhere else in our system and they would not have to interrupt our killing of each other, our trashing of the planet or any of the other stuff we do. If they were to contact us I think it would be for something like our wine, beer, music, or art.
Yea, that will be what we try. Right after we shoot at them.

@Charlene They would not shoot at us I guarantee it. If the race is advanced enough to get here they are advanced enough to have developed a means to extinguish us without our being conscious of their existence.
