I have an Oklahoma CCL. It is reciprocal with many other states which allows me to pretty much travel freely.

This bill only allows for Oklahoma, so people need to know that.

A CCL is still highly recommended so if you are stopped for any traffic violation, you can present your CCL which tells the officer that you passed an FBI background check, aren't a felon, etc. They then perceive you as far less a threat for having the safety tool in your vehicle.

Well that's too bad, but other news:

"The House on Wednesday passed a bill expanding federal background checks for gun purchases and transfers, the first major new firearm restrictions to advance in a generation.

The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, which passed 240-190 with mostly Democratic votes, is unlikely to be considered in the Senate, where Republicans hold a 53-seat majority."

Unlike the Oklahoma bill which passed that bill is dead in the water thanks to 2nd amendment supporters.

@Trajan61 It's coming, maybe not this year, but I believe that society is sick of all the gun violence going on around us.
