I understand the sentiment but the situation is already starting to get serious in Florida. It is a real problem so I would caution against joking too much about it.
@marmot84 because jokes are going to somehow make it worse? Nonsense.
@Blindbird No, the jokes won't make it worse but real people are going to get hurt by it and I for one don't joke about such things.
Furthermore, deniers will interpret jokes as reasons for inaction which is unacceptable.

@marmot84 I AM one of the real people who's going to be hurt by this . My family and I are lifelong,3rd generation Floridians. Climate deniers will do what they do regardless. I'm not censoring myself to please or placate idiots.
