Bernie Sanders is officially running for two different federal offices under two different party labels. On Monday, Sanders filed for re-election to the Senate in 2024, listing his party as a Independent. How can this be? Running for President as a Democrat and Senator as a Independent. Is the running for President only to raise money for his Senate run? And how can he declare to be in different party’s? Thoughts everyone?

Independent is not a party, by definition it is independent.
I can be a member of a golf club, that does not mean I can't play tennis in a municipal park.

Why do you think he us running as a Democrat? He has always been "Independent". But he has to get on the ballot to win. Please stop jumping to unfounded conclusions!
