Personality, every time. Looks change over time as does age (obviously). Money I can make on my own.

I don't have to think about it too much - personality, hands down. All the rest is window dressing.

1. Empathy, kindness, ability to keep a job

Personality would definitely have to come first. A young, rich, attractive woman who had terrible character, was cruel and feckless, would cause me to ask what the point of relationships even was.

For me I would need a woman with a great personality, and very compassionate, looks are important to some degree, but looks fade, if a relationship is going to work, whether its a man or a woman, they can't be jealous, or possessive, or controlling, otherwise it won't work. Someone who is flexible and likes to discuss, but not fight, I guess i might have found her, after 52 years, I applied all, and true love.

I would have to say personality, but I can't deny that looks are a factor. Also, you left out intelligence, which is very important.

I’m going to go with looks and personality. Let’s be honest, if you find someone disgusting to look at, you’re not going to want to get to know their personality. And you are attracted to what you are, ‘‘tis not a fault to not like certain aspects of a person. But if you find someone not good looking and not disgusting, a great personality will make them more attractive.

Looks tend to be the first thing I would notice of course. But my grandmother always used to say pretty is as pretty does. So in the end that doesn't really mean anything. I want someone who is smart preferably in a different way than I am because there are many kinds of intelligence. I want someone who is kind. And I still want to have an active sex life. That last one probably won't matter at some point.
