If a great ape can learn to communicate with us and express it's world, then we are not as intelligent as we think we are! There are probable attempts of contact all around us that we trip over every day and don't even take the time to recognize or respond too.

With the size of the Universe, there is a very high probability that life does or has existed elsewhere. Along with that, a pretty good probability that some sort of intelligent life has or did spring up. That said, currently we have no proof of it anywhere. I look for scientific or man made explanations for UFO sightings. People have to have a conceited view of themselves to think another life form, more advanced, would want to study us.
