Mission creep...
The NRA, which started out as a sportsman's organization, slews more and more into supporting and advocating hard-right issues and rhetoric. Nothing is more emblematic of this that Dana Loesch and the streaming site NRATV.
Now NRA officials are growing increasingly uneasy about this "mission creep" from gun support to apocalyptic warnings.

They have gone from a sportsman's friend to a political organization who no longer represent anything about the sport of shooting. They don't represent me... They represent gun manufacturers.
They will be extinct within the next 20 years if they don't change their ways.
