I feel so much better emotionally after a good hard (for me) work out. Master Sebilia pushed me harder than normal, but gave me a longer rest between it, and I learned I really suck at crescent kicks lol, but I'm getting better at shifting my foot when I kick and it's making my roundhouses a lot more fluid and balanced. I did learn I can not knife hand properly because my fingers no longer tighten and my thumb can't curl under properly, but I'm going to try and address that in OT monday, and practice over the weekend.
But boy am I hurting lol. However the pain comes with a sense of accomplishment because I didn't have to sit out in the middle of it all again so I'm building at least a little endurance!
What's your favorite kind of work out that leaves you feeling emotionally good and accomplished?
we will see as its going to be my first day in the gym monday ever.
Good luck!
thank you x
You did good, be proud.
I actually hate exercise as such, but love doing things. Sadly after many years of swimming, surfing, kayaking, my shoulders seem to have packed it in over recent months. Xrays and ultrasounds over he next few weeks to determine the extent of the damage.
So looks like it is back on the bikes. Not as much fun, but good scenery.
You have my thoughts. Shoulder problems are tough.
Building up a self-choreographed dance routine. I think of a bunch of random dance steps and try to figure which would look the best together. First I practice them on their own, then I attempt to put them all together in a sequence. If I can do it without incident or error it feels great, especially knowing that I made the sequence myself.
Bicycle riding, which I have not done, seriously, in far too long! I am getting a new bike which I hope to help me get back in that particular saddle (and losing weight) again.
Oh, and I am awaiting a call for Physical Therapy too. Arthritis diagnosis, lower back, really causing me some pain and issues with keeping up at work. :/
Best of luck.
For me its just if I can get the energy to get on a roll. For instance, doing a half hour on the elliptical then deciding "sure, lets do another! Then maybe some kettle bells!" etc. It's hard for me to muster that kind of energy but I feel really good when I stick it out. It makes me feel energized but I have to have the energy to begin with
I never have energy either, and I find every week I go to class saying I'll just sit out for a while but once I'm there and begrudgingly started, I get into it and it gives me energy
I really enjoy weights, much to my surprise. I'm impressed at your determination BTW. You rock.
I used to adore weight lifting so much!
