I just want to say something...I don't believe in God. Most of us here either do not believe in God or are keeping our options open. We all know that religion is at the core of a great deal of harm in the world but religious people are not necessarily bad. If we say all Muslims are terrorists then we are part of the problem. Islam gives people an excuse to do evil acts, Catholics priests are not all paedophiles but some paedophiles use Catholism gave a shelter for some paedophiles! I have seen quite a bit lot of hate in here. We need to be part of the answer.

So true. I feel awful for the people who were in the midst of the New Zealand attacks, évén though I share none of their beliefs. The attacker is suffering the same deluisions as any jihadist or sectarian catholic soldier. Those of us in the middle ground need to stand up tô their bullshit.?

@Amisja Not always. Organised religion is a source of power. Indoctrinate people to follow your particular organisation and they become willing to die in order to further your cause - provided they can be conned into thinking it is "God's Work". Think land and influence grabbing Crusades or Jihads.
