What is the word for the point of light you see on the edge of something? I know this, it's an odd word and I can't remember it. It's not chatoyance - that's like the tiger's eye gemstone effect. The small glint or sparkle - what is that word?? Thanks in advance.

This is the bright glint seen as a small flash of light, especially as reflected from a shiny surface, like at the edge of of a shiny object .
@silverotter11 To me that is a glittering flash. I used to ride a snowmobile the length of my driveway in winter (5 kms). I'd return home at night and as I drove in I'd get flashes fro the hoarfrost. It sometimes was quite magical (and cold!). But that is not what you mean. Can we call it a sparkle? I guess not.
@rogerbenham Yes, lighting dancing off of snow when the temps are in the teens is very magical!!
