If you support Beto O'Rourke, join my group:
Going with the "strategic" move gave Trump the white house last time. Way to try to split the progresive vote. I'm.done voting for corporate establishment Dems which is what those two are
@OpposingOpposum Trump did not win because of strategy. He won because the voting was rigged.
@SleeplessInTexas AND the fact that corporate dems put Hilary up instead of Bernie. No more establishment dems. Period
Unfortunately, Beto has back pedaled on Medicare for all. I find him to be an untrustworthy candidate, as there are inconsistencies in his policies and speech.
Bernie is the only one who has stayed consistent. I donated to his campaign even though I'm Canadian!
Plus, my crystal ball is showing that Bernie will win and have Tulsi or Wang as his Vice P.
And we all know crystal balls don't lie.
How about having the group be in support of a Dem candidate, or in opposition to, well, that man in the White House?
I support Beto, if he gets the ticket. I am in opposition to a third party, UNTIL, we get the Republicans out of power and restructure enough that we can have a free party system.
I feel I need to clarify: I was a young Republican. I consider myself conservative, as in: slow, deliberate, careful PROgress, rather than radical, rapid progress (for the sake of progress). The current Republican party is... insane. It's the only way I can think of it, and it's why I divorced myself from the party better than two decades ago. They are actively trying to destroy the nation (that wasn't obvious then, it is now) and they seem to be reveling in the thought. I can't support that and must oppose it... I even swore and oath to that effect, and still believe in that oath.
I like the guys style, but at this point in time I'm not putting my money towards anyone until they lay out a bit of a detailed plan for the future. In any case I will vote and I can guarantee that it will not be Agent ?? November 2020 is a long way away. (Are we there yet?)?
