My father was in the navy in WWII. He died about 15 years ago . His navy scrapbook was left for me and it went down when my sailboat sunk. All the great black and white photos, the notes and his shellback certificate. I was more upset with that loss than I was about the boat. Jeepers, humans are crazy.

That makes perfect sense. First, glad you are safe, second, my condolences on your loss. Most of my military stuff got sold in divorce, at least your dad got to pass his stuff on to you; I'm happy my son acquired some of my stuff.
