Now and then I'll get this massively intuitive flash of insight, and then, it's gone. And it's frustrating, cause I Know I had a line on something that's been bugging me. With as often as it happens, I'm thinking something perception?

Kind of grasping at straws on something that seems more intuition than anything else.

It's a scientific term called GFO. GFO has been the culprit in my life as well. Sporadically robbing me of important flashes of pure genius or select crossword puzzle answers. Sometimes in the middle of a conversation it may prevent me from remembering that .25 cent word I wanted to use. GFO is a bitch!

GFO = Getting Fucking Old.

If inspiration is a kind of perception, it is a perception shaped by the structure of our unconscious. Inspiration depends on our experiences as we have unconsciously arranged them. Some psychoanalyst think that the unconscious, similar to consciousness, is linguistic with its own grammar.

I think Picasso was right:

“Inspiration does exist but it must find you working.”
