Overnights are so slow you can typically even doze off a little at the helm. Some nights you can go the entire shift without a single call, visitor, or alarm.
So working 12 hour overnights wasn't going to be the worst... I mean, it's not like if I were going to do middle of the week days.

I've had more action in the last two nights than in most of my regular shifts

I actually prefer graveyard shifts to be busy. It's difficult to stay awake when they are slow and boring and I've yet to work a graveyard shift where it was ok to sleep.
