You are absolutely correct. Atheists don't have judge a book by its cover stereo type way of looking at things for most part.

Who knows? ...Maybe the United States has already had an atheist (or gay ?) president...and the Bible thumpers don’t even know they voted for him!

Maybe the oligarchs who rule the country realise that if you place a member of a protected minority in a position of authority, that person will carry out their objectives and if those objectives are criticised, the critics can be dismissed as haters.
