quite an indictment but true. the american upper class only ever got that way from taking from the poor & disadvantaged.

But, there's a better life to learn from, if you get the education, which gets you the good jobs, which allow to live, rather than merely survive. My broke-ass wisdom tells me that financial security should always be top priority. If I could have a do-over...

@zesty They learned from the elders and ways of life. They did not have education with student debt but no jobs.

I learned a great deal in college. However, it is true that most teachers only teach facts, but not how to apply those facts to your life. So, yes, often we don't learn how to apply what we know to the real world until we go out into the real world.
