My daughter in laws elementary school has like other schools Active Shooter Drills .
The classrooms are always locked all teachers wear a key and many good steps taken to keep the children safe. One of my followers on Twitter posted this picture and it broke my heart.
Her daughter was standing in the bathroom like this and her mom asked / honey what are you doing? The answer practice what I’m to do if a shooter comes in the bathroom.
Breaks my heart.

The money the NRA gives the GOP to do their bidding is mind blowing.
@Gypsy494 It should be illegal, and I keep hoping that our Congress will eventually be taken back from the monsters in it that feed the NRA with laws that allow them to contribute to repubs.
I can’t believe we are at a point in history where we have to put this on our children on top of everything else they deal with.
In Canada, my parents wouldn’t have even thought this a possibility.
I have 7th and 9th grade boys, they have active shooter drills every two weeks or so. They send out an email as it’s happening.. my heart sinks every time.
How this is ok with the gun worshippers, I’ll never know.

Their right to have all their guns is more important than the lives of innocent children.
And people in the US are ok with this. They still insist on fighting to bear arms. This is totally unacceptable everywhere else in the world, unless it is a war zone.

And how exactly is disarming law abiding citizens going to make them safer? Last time I checked criminals don't obey the law. That's what makes them criminals in the first place.

@mrveggieman187 By not allowing citizens to own a bazooka (a man-portable recoilless anti-tank rocket launcher) and it’s projectiles. As in, if you can’t own a (fuckin) bazooka - you also do not need to own a military combat weapon, body armor, banana clips and armor piercing ammo.. Get it?
@mrveggieman187 Are you aware that people are killed by toddlers, you know those little people who’s parents are law abiding gun owners. That is one way how it is happening.
@mrveggieman187 How about you do a bit of research into countries who don ‘ t have readily available to every Tom Dick and Harriet.
