Have you found people on here you would like to know but are too far away to even consider contacting them?
I have met several minds on here of men I would love to know better. Let me note right here, most have not ever even messaged me so for those the attraction is probably one way.
The issue for me in contacting them or encouraging them is distance. I am near where my grandsons are and they are such a huge part of my life I would never consider moving away so my interest in others is left stifled. 
I suppose it's possible they might move towards me but I find that probability next to nil. Rarely do men do the uprooting and follow the woman, usually the woman does the following. At least that's my experience or my knowledge of it.
Am I alone in this stifled interest or do others here have the same issue?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I'm not moving anywhere until my fur-children cross The Bridge. That said, they'll be 15 in June so that has a very good chance of happening in the next five years. After that, all bets are off. I will be ready to move shortly thereafter. It might not be for a relationship. But I will not rule it out.

I’d say go for it. I found the love of my life in a different country and did not let that stop me . He’s now passed but I had a deep love and I would have missed out on that if I would have not gone for it.So I’d say strike up a conversation ....we started as friends online and a spark ignited.And if nothing else you might just make a new friend .

If one enjoys the communications, then why not? If the distance is huge and both are reasonable people, there is an assumption things may never get beyond online chatting.
Maybe it depends on how many online friends a person has, or wants, and how much they travel for vacations, etc.
As is often said here, being upfront is key.
