I always find it interesting that various special interest groups are always so concerned with making sure they find the most ideologically pure candidate. They don't seem to consider that they might be better off in the long run by finding an electable candidate first.

Would not surprise me at all. The words is not divided, which they are but plain stupid. Why would you insist on a candidate that your own constituency don't want, especially since it went sour last time.
