Although the title reflects and talks about “infidelity” , like Esther points out, infidelity comes in many forms and is not just about sexual relations.

She digs into the “whys” and consequences. Very good Ted talk.

She also talks about treating your significant other as though they were a business client or business partner. Something along those lines.

Because in business, you want to keep someone who's going to be an asset to helping your business grow and make it successful. I agree!

I've never cheated on anyone and I'm going to keep it that way. I'm not the type to run into the arms of another man when things aren't working out in my relationship. If I do that, I'll put myself in a situation where I will be tempted to cheat. When we're vulnerable, we're weaker psychologically and emotionally.

Therefore, I will not put myself in that type of situation. I will not allow anyone to bring me down like that and I will not betray my partner like that, no matter what problems we're having. I will not allow them to betray their partner either. Because if they do that to their partner, what makes me think they won't do it to me? I don't want to find out! People have tried to test me and have failed miserably. You can be Bill Gates or Tom Cruise, it ain't happening. I will lose respect for anyone who tries.

I don't see the purpose in cheating: sexually or emotionally. I don't want to leave a legacy of pain when I die. I can't bring myself to doing it. For what? I will have gained nothing, but putting myself back into more heartache. No thanks.

I'd rather end a relationship like a good business partner: Finish my work and put in my two week notice.

My partner will have to cheat on me first for me to let go. I just couldn't bring myself to giving up completely.

I don't understand infidelity. I get it, it exists and it happens. I've been victim to it.

I promise you this, though. For me; infidelity will never make a relationship stronger. I'd rather let go and move on upon learning of it. I will not allow myself to live with mental torture of never trusting the same person twice after an infidelity. It's not fair to me. He will live with a monster if I don't let go... because I will forever throw it in his face. I'd rather not.

I'm not worried about it right now. I prefer not to think about that. It's quite depressing.

It would take me a while to move on if I ever got cheated on again, but I eventually will. I'm prepared for it, if it ever happened again. I've built enough strength through my experience to not ever look back on those who purposely hurt me without my permission.

Relationships don't have to be difficult, Hon. I want to try the best we can to make things work. And if we can't, I'd like to respectfully agree to let go if we must. I'm steadfast on wanting to build a strong relationship, otherwise.

I found that video I mentioned in my comment above. I like this... 😊

I believe it starts at 3:18 into the video. 😉

Te amo!😘
