Socrates once quoted: Those who consider themselves to smart to take part in government will find themselves governed by the DUMB!!! Just look at our present government which is destroying our environment, medicine, education, treaties, women and gay rights and the middle class and poor!. Another quote from Socrates: The greatest tension in any state is the mutual resentment between rich and poor. Therefore a strong stable middle class provides the glue to a strong stable government. We need to develop a strong middle class again. When the stress caused by a wide deficit between rich and poor exists there will be a revolt.
When we can stop the BIO and GEO engineering then we might be able to change governments and society structure....... we are so DUMB that we aren't aware of what's happening around.
A social movement needs sufficient collective awareness, and this is not possible these days, due to the big gap of POWER "which is knowledge" between the elites and the people. That's way it's a good solution for humans to be whip out from the surface of earth, that would be fair enough for everybody, then after we become inorganic programs stuck in the astral plane we gonna discuss how silly the human race was.
What you say is true in one sense. Fact, we need strong intelligent leaders who work to serve their nation and put their nations interests first. This is the old style of traditional leadership, leaders should not abuse their position. However in society where we like to believe that a large middle class is the solution this is wrong. No matter how big the middle class is, even if it is over 80% as in my country. There are still disparities between the middle and lower classes, it doesn't matter if your are upper or middle. the lower classes continue to see anyone in a better economic situation than them as the enemy and demonize them. They aren't interested in improving their lifestyle, they just smoke, drink, gamble or waste their money on superfluous unnecessary purchases. My father who came from a working class family with little to no future where all you aspired to be was a steelworker in the plant, worked hard, worked in some of the most dangerous countries in the world, risked it all and kept his wit about him. He managed to give his children, my sister and I, the life he never had. If a human being is willing to risk everything for their future and work hard to achieve it with their own resolve then there is nothing that can stop them.
I know this is a little long but now to answer some of the points you raised.
-We as humanity constantly destroy the environment, a larger middle class would mean an increase in demand of products and accelerate the destruction of environments. This is bad
-The government currently funds medical research and is always encouraging students to study medicine, most low to middle class people don't take this career option because it's hard work, which is why foreign doctors are the only thing keeping most western countries medical services operational. Instead of complaining about a broken system start complaining to the children of your friends and family who choose not to become doctors.
-Education, you complain about receiving low quality education however the standards have been lowered in order to accommodate the decreasingly intelligent children of your nation. In order to maintain your political correct society and give children false confidence you lower the passing grades and as a result lower the quality of students who are accepted into universities. Teachers are responsible for educating students directly however instead of providing a logical system and acknowledging that different students have different intelligence (basically educational separation which you would label discrimination based on intelligence) levels. Germany has a school class tier system where the most intelligent students get the best teacher and the least intelligent students get the worst. The world isn't fair, only those who can achieve will achieve. It isn't fair to hold the intelligent children back just for the sake of the few students who can't cope. Why change the system to compensate for a few underachievers. Also if we give the children false dreams, they will become disheartened when they fail, if they will not be able to cope with university then don't raise their hopes, lower the passing scores, get them in to university, waste their time and their parents money to see them fail and fall into a spiral of depression. Rather we should identify their shortcomings as soon as possible and put them on an alternative path. Lower their dreams to something they can achieve.
-Treaties. Get real, war is one of the largest industries in the world. America has maintained this since the 1900's when they sold weapons to the british instead of helping to fight the nazis in WW2. Treaties are just pieces of paper, they won't help you when you in war. All countries are selfish and only interested in their own profit. Why should we expect other countries to do what we want without offering anything of equal value in return. America has systematically set up hundreds of military installations in foreign countries all in the name of "peace" however it is seen by many as a sign of aggression and provocation.
-Women's rights & gay rights. Right's don't exist. There is no such thing as mens rights, womens rights or human rights. There are only privileges. people are not entitled to anything unless they do something in return. If we did have rights then why are they not common among the entire human race? The answer is that we never have and never will have rights because they are a luxury afforded to people with power.
-Gay rights. As long as you don't have marches that block roads and inconvenience others them I'm all for gay privileges however when you request special treatment from the powers that be, then you don't want equality, you want superiority. If a gay couple want to live together fine, if they want to have sex fine, if they want to vote fine. But if they want to force the religions of the world to marry them even though it is against religious beliefs then that is not okay. The churches, synagogues and mosques of the world should not be forced to bend to the desires of a group who want the benefits of belonging to a religion but not accept the conditions for joining the religion. It's like a person wanting to eat in a restaurant without paying because they believe they are entitled to the food as their human right.
This is my first comment on this site but I'm glad you provided an interesting stimulis/subject. even if it was a quote from another human being.
So what is needed is candidates who are smart politically and are skilled in diplomacy to replace the dismal occupants currently in power. Now, who could those candidates be?
The strong middle class won't be happening if this tax reform bill goes through. If it does, most certainly there should be a revolt of some kind.
It is unfortunate that more young people do not become involved in politics earlier.. I did later in life because I did not believe in myself early on but that was a mistake. I now believe that the young have new idiots that should be introduced into our politics as soon as possible. In addition, i find that there aren't many schools that offer a degree in diplomacy and there needs to be more emphasis on this type of learning. .
