Does anyone else ever get so tired after their week that you end up sleeping 14 hours Saturday night? Starting to wonder if I have that rare condition referred to as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Either that, or my job and commute really are that draining. Or I'm finally getting old?

if you sleep 14 hrs in one night maybe you're partly in an alternate universe.

It's a major flaw in the US system. European countries have realised that continuous work, without breaks, REDUCES productivity per person. Short bursts of continuous work are fine, but not long term. Many of the most productive per employee countries have more public holidays than the USA, and stricter working hours without overtime payments.

In Sweden a working day is six hours, and you still get a full days pay, that you can afford to pay your rent, buy nice things and go on holidays. All that with just one job, not two, not three, one job. And lets not forget that health care is free too.

@Jolanta Scandinavia (and a couple other places) are light years ahead of the U.S. in many respects. We seem to be far too in love with making greedy capitalists and executives even wealthier, and we love to glorify busy in the U.S. It is toxic. It's probably just coincidence that the leading cause of disease and injury in America is stress.

Possible domino effect.
