If you are talking about meeting other people from Agnostic.com, may I suggest that you start by doing these things:

Write your bio on your profile page -- telling everybody about yourself.

Then read some of the threads. Categories are on the right side of your screen. Make your own comments to threads that interest you. Reply to other users.

Click on "Meet" at the top of the page. Then put in your search parameters. If you want to meet somebody local, you can put in "within x miles of me." That will show you all the people who are near you.

From there, you can click on their name or picture -- then you can read their profiles.

One of the most important things to notice about other members is WHY they are here. A lot of people here are open to dating, long term relationships, etc.

But, there are also a lot of people who are not open to dating or relationships. Those people will usually have in their profile "Here for the community."

When you are looking at somebody's profile, below their bio, when you scroll down, you can see things they have written: Posts, comments, and replies to other members. Seeing the things that people write about gives you a little window into their personalities.

If you like to converse with people, you may find yourself, like a lot of people here, a bit addicted to frequently coming to this community for thoughtful and intelligent interactions.

What activities interest you? Search online to see if there are any organised groups offering those activities, and go along - that's usually a good way to meet people. See if you find someone you like there and you already have a shared interest you can talk to her about; then, after meeting her a couple of times, just go for it and ask her if she'd like to go for coffee with you sometime.
